Cookies

One cookie, for your language. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers — which is why there is no consent banner in front of this page.

01What we set

One cookie, and it is strictly necessary for the site to serve you the right page:

  • lluyot_locale — your language choice, English or Spanish. First-party, expires after one year, readable only by this site. It contains the two letters of a language code and nothing else.

Your light or dark theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, so it is never sent to a server at all.

02Why there is no consent banner

Under the ePrivacy Directive, consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. A cookie that remembers which language you selected, set only because you selected it, falls within that exemption — so asking for permission would be theatre rather than protection.

We would rather remove the need for a banner than build a better one. If we ever add something that genuinely requires consent, we will ask for it properly, and this page will say what changed.

03What we do not set

  • No analytics cookies, and no analytics script of any kind.
  • No advertising or retargeting pixels.
  • No social media embeds that track you across sites.
  • No fingerprinting, session recording or heatmaps.
  • No third-party cookies, from anyone, for any purpose.

This is verifiable rather than a promise: open your browser's developer tools on any page of this site and look at the storage panel.

04Removing it

Every browser lets you delete cookies for a single site. Removing ours costs you nothing except that the site will fall back to detecting your language from your browser settings the next time you visit.
