Privacy Policy

This website sets one cookie, to remember your language. It runs no analytics, builds no profile of visitors, and sells data to nobody. The only personal information we hold is what you deliberately send us — an email, or a message through the contact form — and we use it to reply to you.

Our products follow the same principle at the architectural level: where a product can work without collecting something, it does not collect it.

Lluyot Labs is the data controller for this website and for the products it publishes. You can reach us at lluyotlabs@gmail.com about anything on this page, including a request to access or delete what we hold.

• Contact form and email. Your name, email address, chosen topic and message. We use these solely to respond, and we keep them only as long as the conversation is useful.
• Language and theme preference. Your chosen language is stored in a first-party cookie so that pages load in the right language; your light or dark preference is stored in your browser only. Neither identifies you. See our cookie notice.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent — for security and reliability. This is ordinary infrastructure logging, retained for a short period, and we do not use it to identify individuals.
• Country, derived from your IP address. If you arrive without having chosen a language, and your browser names no language we publish, the server looks up your country to decide between English and Spanish. The lookup uses a database stored on our own machine, so nothing about you is sent anywhere to perform it, and the result is used for that one redirect and never stored. Your browser's own language setting takes precedence over it.

There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker on this site. If that ever changes, this page changes first and the date above will say so.

Under the GDPR, our lawful basis for processing what you send through the contact form or by email is your own request that we reply — a step taken at your request prior to any agreement, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our work. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure. The language cookie is strictly necessary to deliver the page you asked for, so it does not require consent.

Each product states its own data practices. Broncea, our first published product, has no backend and no user accounts: profile, calibration and session history are stored only in the device's own storage and are never transmitted to us.

Broncea sends location coordinates to two external services purely to answer a request — Open-Meteo for the ultraviolet forecast, and BigDataCloud to convert coordinates into a readable place name. Those requests are encrypted, carry nothing but coordinates, and are not retained by us, because we operate no server that could retain them. Everything the app stores can be erased permanently from within its settings.

• Our hosting provider, which serves this website and necessarily processes request logs on our behalf.
• Our email provider, which delivers and stores messages you send us.

These are processors acting on our instructions. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies, and we do not sell it — under any definition of that word.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or restrict how we use it, and request a copy in a portable format. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority.

Write to lluyotlabs@gmail.com. Because we hold very little, these requests are usually answered within days rather than the maximum period the law allows.

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated. Where a change materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will say so clearly rather than rely on the date alone.
